Moonlight Paddle to Spanish Lake
As part of our always fun night paddling series, last August we had a moonlight paddle out to Spanish Lake. When it came time to choose a location for our first night paddle of this season, a return to Spanish Lake won by a landslide.
Who: Anyone interested in paddling Louisiana at night.
What: About 5-1/2 miles round trip on Bayou Braud and Spanish Lake.
When: Saturday, May 2, 2015, starting at 6:45pm.
Where: Highway 74 at Shell Oil Field Rd., St. Gabriel, LA 70776
Why: Why not?
If you are a member of PaddleBR, come join us for a great evening of paddling. If you are not a member, come anyway — you can join at the event or even just paddle as a guest. (If guests would like to donate $5 or so to help support PaddleBR, we would be most grateful, but it is not required.)
Oh, and if you don’t have your own canoe or kayak, we have members who are quite happy to bring extras from their fleets. Paddles and PFDs provided, but claim your spot before they’re gone. Two or three are already spoken for, but we’ve got plenty of seats still available… so far.
