Frenchtown Road Conservation Area Launch

You will want a canoe dolly for this one — it’s 2/3 of a mile from the parking lot to the sandy beach launch.  The route runs up and down several hills as it parallels the railroad, and there is an eroded hill down to the Comite.  Usually there is plenty of sandy beach to launch from or land on, but when the Amite is high (as in the photo above), there may not be any left.
