October Dark-of-Night Paddle this Friday

This Friday, October 24th, we’re going to try out a fun new paddle trip.  We’ll be setting out at dusk from Highland Road Park and paddling 4.5 miles down Bayou Fountain  and to the Alligator Bayou end of Bayou Manchac.  But unlike our full moon paddles, this time it’ll be *DARK*, with red LED lights/headlamps or red-filtered flashlights only for this trip.

Come enjoy the ambiance of a Louisiana bayou at night.  Be sure to bring bug spray and a sense of adventure.

• Arrive at Highland Road Park for 6pm.
• Launching at 6:30pm.
• 4.5 miles of night paddling, red lights only.
• Exit at Alligator Bayou at 9:30pm or so.
